TAS: Bullimore's record sail challenge delayed by bad weather

British yachtsman TONY BULLIMORE hasn't left Tasmania to start his round-the-world
record attempt .. because of bad weather.

67-year-old BULLIMORE wanted to depart from the Bellerive Yacht Club .. near Hobart
.. on his 31-metre catamaran today .. in his bid to sail solo around the world in 70 days.

But BULLIMORE says he will leave within the next week .. before winter icebergs on
the 27 thousand mile route become too treacherous.
