CANBERRA, Jan 1 AAP - They're called TAGs - tactical assault groups - and they represent
the last resort for dealing with terrorists once everything else has been tried.

For the government of Prime Minister Malcolm Fraser, a TAG was to serve as the "ultimate
sanction" against terrorism under a hardline counter-terrorism policy.
