FED: Non union companies growing, business report shows
CANBERRA, Feb 5 AAP - Only nine per cent of Australian firms now have a unionised
workforce.
Companies with no unionised employees increased from 88 per cent to 91 per cent between
1995 and 1996, a report released today said.
The report, A Portrait of Australian Business - Results of the 1996 Business Longitudinal
Survey, showed employment growth was maintained but the average number of persons employed per
firm fell by 2.9 per cent.
