NSW: Camden maternity staff says no problem

SYDNEY, Feb 21 AAP - Staff at a Sydney hospital today denied claims by medical specialists
its maternity ward was operating dangerously.

The Australian Medical Association's (AMA) NSW branch relayed anaesthetists' concerns
about Camden Hospital unit to Health Minister Morris Iemma in a letter on December 17
last year, but say their concerns were ignored.

"The current arrangements for the provision of anaesthetic services at the Camden Hospital
obstetric unit are unsafe," the letter said.
